Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested a man early Friday after another man was fatally shot Thursday night at a Foothill Farms residence.
Robert Gene McCormack, 43, was arrested on suspicion of murder after the man was shot multiple times after an argument between the victim and a female resident, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.
Sgt. Tony Turnbull, Sheriff’s Department spokesman, said a call was received shortly before 9 p.m. reporting shots fired in the 5500 block of Monteagle Court, off Hillsdale Boulevard.
The news release provided these details: McCormack intervened in the argument and fought physically with the victim. McCormack then went inside the residence, returned with a firearm and shot the victim. All three adults knew each other.
