Sex offender sentenced to 185 years in prison

A 45-year-old man has been sentenced to 185 years in prison for sexually assaulting children in Sacramento, Placer and Sutter counties.

A Sacramento County jury in April convicted Glen Dale Lemons of nine counts of committing lewd acts with a child younger than 14. He was sentenced Friday by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Matthew Gary.

From 2000 to 2014, Lemons molested four girls when they were 4 to 11 years old, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release. He touched the girls when their parents were not in the same room and when the girls were asleep, it said.

Lemons has a history dating back to 1991 of exposing himself in front of young girls, soliciting a minor to commit sex acts and possessing child pornography, authorities said.

Lemons has been to prison five times since 1990 and has been a registered sex offender since 1994, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
