Nevada County Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives arrested six people Thursday after two butane honey oil labs were discovered and several marijuana grow locations found on property in Nevada City.
Authorities said that, after serving a search warrant, they found large greenhouses and an outdoor terraced hill area to grow 1,047 marijuana plants. They also found 15 pounds of processed marijuana and 130 to 150 pounds of leaves or ground-up marijuana. Officials also seized an AR-15 rifle and other firearms from the property in the 18000 block of Rainbow’s End Road.

They were arrested on suspicion of cultivating marijuana, conspiracy, and manufacturing a controlled substance, among other charges, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
Also found on the property were pieces of equipment used to manufacture the drugs, including two butane honey oil labs, which are used to extract THC from marijuana, a carbon dioxide closed-loop extraction system and a rotary evaporator system. Detectives also found an 8-ton air conditioning unit, water pumps, fans and grow lights.
