Sacramento police reported Wednesday afternoon that they were unable to find a possibly armed person thought to have been holed up in a south Sacramento home.
SWAT officers surrounded a duplex in south Sacramento in an effort to detain a suspect, but police reported shortly before 3 p.m. that the individual was not found during a search of the home.
Officers were called about 11:45 a.m. to the area of 67th Avenue and Milford Street, not far from Florin Road and 21st Street. Police tweeted that they suspected that a wanted and armed person was inside a residence.
Officers were positioned around the duplex. SWAT members deployed a loud device to distract the man presumed to be inside.
