Officers investigating the shooting of a man in south Sacramento on Monday have not ruled out the possibility that the injury was self-inflicted.
Police were called to the 6100 block of Stockton Boulevard shortly before 10 a.m. Monday.
Officers found the wounded man was alert and with a recent wound, a police spokesman said. He was taken to a hospital after providing limited information to officers. He was expected to survive.
“We have not ruled out the potential that this individual may have shot himself,” said Officer Matt McPhail.
