Sacramento sheriff’s detectives are investigating the apparent murder of a 60-year-old man found dead inside his south Sacramento apartment Thursday with “wounds consistent with an edged weapon.”
A person called 911 shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday and reported the man dead inside the apartment in the 3900 block of 47th Avenue, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.
“Homicide detectives have responded to the scene, and are in the beginning stages of the investigation,” it said.
The victim lived alone, and witnesses said they saw him alive on Wednesday morning, the news release said. There are no known motives or suspects, it said.
