Stockton police arrested a man Thursday in connection with a shooting and robbery at a Costco parking lot last month.

Christopher Tolbert, 30, was arrested by authorities at a Lodi hotel after police received several anonymous tips, according to Stockton police spokesman Officer Joe Silva. Tolbert was booked into San Joaquin County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon and robbery charges.

Police say Tolbert shot a 55-year-old woman Jan. 20 when she refused to surrender her purse in the parking lot at the Costco at 1616 East Hammer Lane.
