The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the man found dead from an apparent stab wound inside a south-area apartment last week.
Sacramento County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the apparent murder of Scott M. Peer, 50, of Sacramento. He was found dead inside his south Sacramento apartment in the 3900 block of 47th Avenue on Thursday with “wounds consistent with an edged weapon,” according to a Sheriff’s Department press release.
A person called 911 shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday and reported the man dead inside the apartment. Peer lived alone, and witnesses said they saw him alive the morning before his body was found.
No arrests have been made in the incident.
