Sacramento police are asking the public’s help identifying a man sought in the robbery of an AM/PM market earlier this month.

The man, armed with a shotgun, entered the market at 2225 16th St. about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 11. He removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, then left on foot, according to a Police Department news release.

The man, shown in surveillance photos, is described as white or Hispanic, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was wearing a black Cincinnati Reds baseball hat, a red long-sleeved shirt, khaki-style cargo shorts, and black-and-white shoes. He also had a black backpack and may have a tattoo around his left wrist.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call the department’s dispatch center at 916-264-5471 or Crime Alert at 916-443-4357, or submit an anonymous tip using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
