Man pulled out of Lake Natoma

Emergency officials pulled a young drowning victim out of Lake Natoma early Saturday afternoon.

CBS13 reported that the man died. Sacramento Metro Fire Battalion Chief Tyler Wagaman said he did not know if the man survived.

“At just about 1 p.m. we received a call of a drowning at Nimbus Flat,” Wagaman said. “The state park rangers and lifeguards were already on scene and they called us. They had an active rescue in process.”

After rescuers located the man, who Wagaman described as in his late teens or early 20s, “It took a few minutes to get him out and to the hospital,” Wagaman said.

The victim has not yet been identified.
