Anticipating heavy demand, Yolo County public health officials are calling for volunteers to undergo training to assist in what the county is calling “a mass free flu vaccination clinic” on Feb. 5.
Officials are asking about 80 volunteers to step up to help manage registration, screening, vaccinating, crowd and traffic control.
Anyone wishing to participate must first register to take an online course at www.yolopodclasses.org. No walk-in, same-day volunteers will be accepted.
After taking the training course, called “Intro to POD Operation,” interested volunteers will need to email: email@example.com. “POD” stands for point of dispensing (vaccines).
