The California Highway Patrol on Saturday afternoon responded to reports of a flooded roadway in rural Placer County.
The flooding measured up to 5 inches deep in some areas of the roadway at South Brewer Road near Sunset Boulevard West, east of Pleasant Grove near the Sutter County line, according to the CHP.
The roadway is surrounded by plots of farmland and is experiencing flooding spanning a 70-yard stretch, according to Sgt. Dan Fugate, a spokesman for the CHP.
The road remains open and signage has been set up to warn drivers in the area of flooding, Fugate said.
