Caltrans on Friday finished a $25 million repaving job on the Pioneer Memorial Bridge, making Labor Day weekend the first since July that all lanes and ramps will be open for use.
The completed work on the Pioneer Bridge should ease travel for some of the thousands of vehicles going to and from Lake Tahoe, or between Sacramento and the Bay Area.
Caltrans had contractors working 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays and around the clock weekends to finish the resurfacing project.
