A big-rig crash on westbound Capital City Freeway snarled Tuesday morning commute traffic for more than an hour, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash, which took place on a bridge over the American River, was reported at 7:49 a.m. and closed all westbound lanes, said Officer Chad Hertzell, CHP spokesman. No injuries were reported, he said.

The CHP reported that two westbound lanes were reopened at 8:46 a.m., then all lanes were cleared about 9:15 a.m.
