The state Department of Transportation will close the Highway 65-Interstate 80 interchange Saturday night into Sunday morning to let PG&E employees relocate overhead power lines, the agency announced.

The interchange will remain closed from 11 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday while three power lines are moved from Highway 65 to Galleria Ranch Road in Roseville. The alteration precludes a $50 million effort to add a third lane to Highway 65 toward Pleasant Grove Boulevard.

Three detour routes will be established while the road is closed:

▪ Southbound Highway 65 to Interstate 80: Take the Galleria Boulevard exit, travel south on Galleria, right on Willis Road and right onto Atlantic Street to I-80.

▪ Westbound I-80 to northbound Highway 65: Exit at Atlantic Street, turn left on Willis Road and left on Galleria Boulevard north to Highway 65.

▪ Eastbound I-80 to northbound Highway 65: Take the Atlantic Street/Eureka Road exit, proceed straight to Taylor Road, left at Roseville Parkway and right onto Galleria Boulevard north to Highway 65.
