Watt Avenue will be subject to daytime lane closures for roadwork from Monday through Oct. 31, Sacramento County Department of Transportation officials said.
The closures will take place on Watt, between Manlove Road and La Riviera Drive, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. One lane will be closed daily in both directions.
Officials said the closures should add 10 to 15 minutes to motorists’ travel times.
The closures will allow crews to install a landscape irrigation system, trees and shrubs in the center median. The work is part of a major reconstruction of the Watt Avenue interchange on Highway 50. The changes include a new bike lane and a lane for buses.
