A FedEx pilot reporting hydraulic failure during a flight from Memphis landed safely Tuesday morning at Sacramento International Airport.

Just after 5:30 a.m., a FedEx pilot reported hydraulic failure during his scheduled cargo flight. Laurie Slothower, spokeswoman for the Sacramento County Department of Airports, said the pilot requested emergency assistance but landed safely just after 6 a.m.

“Emergency services determined there was a hydraulic system failure and the plane has been towed off the runway,” Slothower said.

Three people on board were not injured, Slothower said.
