Reaction has been swift and pointed to the removal of chief White House strategist Steve Bannon from the National Security Council.
While conjecture about the reasons for his removal has not clarified the issue, comment about the move –and more directly, about Bannon himself – so far is in line with the strong feelings he has engendered since accompanying President Donald Trump into the brightest political spotlight.
