A bone dry water bowl, a bike without a seat and no human life surrounding them.

That’s what it was like for two dogs who were abandoned in the Arizona desert according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office. In the video posted on its Facebook page on Oct. 3, you see and hear the officers find these poor pups right in the nick of time.

“Yavapai county animal control officers responded to a call that 2 beautiful pups were abandoned and tied to a bike, in the middle of the desert!” the caption of the video said.

“Luckily, the officers got to them in time and brought them to safety. Please do not abandon your dogs in the desert.”

The video shows the officers being lighthearted about the situation and clearly happy they were able to save the duo. They manage to free both dogs from the damaged bicycle that they’re leashed to.

Yavapai County is about a 100-mile drive north from Phoenix.
