It’s been two decades since the world said goodbye to Princess Diana.
The Princess of Wales was 36 when she died in an automobile accident Aug. 31, 1997, in Paris. An intoxicated chauffeur was driving at excessive speeds in a bid to escape paparazzi when he crashed the vehicle inside the Pont de l’Alma tunnel, killing Diana; her companion, Dodi Fayed; and the driver, Henri Paul.
People all over the world paid tribute to the 20th anniversary of her death.
