Come and join us for a state worker brown bag lunch in The Bee Capitol Bureau next week.

On May 8, we’ll hold meeting for state workers and retirees to discuss how we cover what you care about.

Have a question about a story? Want to talk about whether the four unions negotiating contracts this year are better off waiting for the next governor? Or maybe you just want to get to know us?

We haven’t hosted a state worker brown bag since 2016, and we’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts about what we should be covering and how you want to connect with us.

The Capitol Bureau’s conference room at 925 L St., Suite 600 will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to accommodate employees with varying schedules. Plan on bringing your own lunch. We’ll provide the water and cookies.

We will take RSVPs via Facebook message, Twitter (@TheStateWorker) or email (aashton@sacbee.com) until all 28 slots for the meeting are claimed.
