This week’s State Worker column takes encouragement from a rare, if relatively small, California government technology win – the corpsmember job portal launched by the California Conservation Corps.
What the column didn’t mention is that the National Association of State Chief Information Officers also was impressed with the website. Last month it named the Corps’ site the “Fast Track Solutions” winner of its 2014 State IT Recognition Awards.
This is the 26th year that the association has recognized state technology for innovation, security, openness and management. This month’s ceremony in Nashville awarded projects in 11 categories culled from more than 100 nominations from 30 states.
