United Airlines has found itself in hot water ... again.
One woman’s trip to Paris from Newark, N.J., became a 28-hour ordeal last month after her flight switched gates at the last minute, WABC-TV reported.
The passenger, Lucie Bahetoukilae, who only speaks French, had a boarding pass that read “Newark to Charles de Gaulle.” She headed to the gate indicated on the boarding pass, where a United representative scanned it and allowed her to board.

Her seat was already taken, but a flight attendant simply reseated her, Bahetoukilae’s niece, Diane Miantsoko, told WABC-TV.
However, that flight was headed 3,000 miles in the wrong direction – to San Francisco.
The last-minute gate change was not announced in French or by email notification, Miantsoko said.
After an 11-hour layover in San Francisco, Bahetoukilae made it to Paris.
The woman and her niece said the inconvenience was not their biggest concern, citing the lapse in security as more worrisome.
“They didn’t pay attention. My aunt could have been anyone,” Miantsoko told WABC-TV.
United Airlines, which just settled the incident in a lawsuit, apologized, calling the incident “a horrible failure.” The airline also gave Bahetoukilae a refund and a flight voucher.
The airline also faces possible legal action over the death and quick cremation of a giant rabbit, a lawyer announced Monday.
