A new sandwich shop is opening in town and offering freebies to introduce itself. Togo’s will open its first Atwater location Friday, the company said in a news release.
The eatery will be at 1511 Bell Road. Prior to the grand opening, the restaurant will have fundraisers that double as training for its staff on Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. Proceeds from sales on those evenings will go to Atwater and Buhach Colony high schools, respectively.
“I’ve had a lifelong passion for healthy, delicious food, and that is why I am excited to bring Togo’s to Atwater,” Givargis Ishaya, who owns the local franchise, said in the release. “We have a lot of free sandwiches to give away this month, and we cannot wait to open our door to guests.”
Those freebies include hot pastrami sandwiches to the first 1,000 people who “like” the local Togo’s Facebook page. In the store’s second week of operation, whoever buys every 100th sandwich will get free sandwiches for a year.
