Multiple buildings were damaged in a Merced fire Friday night, but no injuries were reported.
A Merced County crew from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection was called out around 9:30 p.m. to a fire in the 2900 block of Business Park Way in Merced, just north of Santa Fe Drive.
The crew found a 7,500-square-foot, single-story structure ablaze, according to fire officials. The flames damaged a pest control business, auto shop and paint shop in the business park.
Fire officials said the blaze was producing heavy smoke and flames when they arrived. They contained the fire by about 10:25 p.m.

Officials said the fire remains under investigation, and the damage was most severe for the auto and paint shops.
Twenty firefighters, four engines, two water tenders and two chiefs responded, and reported no injuries.
Officials estimate the blaze caused $250,000 in damage to the buildings and contents.
