ATWATER The League of Women Voters of Merced County on Wednesday will hold a candidates forum for Atwater mayor and City Council at the Atwater City Council chamber, 750 Bellevue Road. The mayoral candidates will be questioned from 6 to 7 p.m., and council candidates from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Candidates will answer questions submitted in advance electronically to LWVMercedCo@ gmail.com or to Facebook ( www.facebook.com/lwvmercedco) and from those submitted in writing at the forums. All questions will be screened.

Women’s Club luncheon

Folk art workshops
The Mariposa Art Co. will host children’s art workshops at its gallery, 1637 M St., leading up to the company’s Dia de los Muertos art show.
