On the morning of Aug. 26, a two alarm fire broke out at the Wendy’s restaurant on Northgate Boulevard in Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Fire Department’s Facebook page.
Fire crews dispatched to the scene encountered heavy smoke and flames coming through the roof of the restaurant and began fighting the fire. A second alarm was called due to the size of the building and the amount of fire.
The restaurant was closed at the time, and no one was injured in the blaze.
The crews decided after a short battle to withdraw firefighters from the inside of the building and take up a defensive position from the outside. From there, firefighters used aerial water streams to extinguish the flames from the outside.
