On Sunday at 2:25 p.m. the NWS Reno NV released a lake wind advisory valid from Monday 5 p.m. until Tuesday 2 p.m. for Lake Tahoe.

The NWS informs, "Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and waves 1 to 4 feet for Lake Tahoe."

"Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve," describes the NWS. "Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind."
