It’s still going to feel like summer today. But don’t worry: We have a quick break into pumpkin latte weather headed our way soon.
Temperatures in the Sacramento region will top out in the mid-90s this afternoon. That’s a few degrees above the normal high of 89 for this day.
The high temperature will hit the 80s on Sunday. Then on Monday, a trough of cool, dry air will blanket the region, said National Weather Service forecaster Robert Baruffaldi.
The work week will start with high temperatures reaching the upper 70s and maybe the low 80s. Tuesday will see a high in the mid- to upper-70s; that’s well below normal for this time of year. The nights will see temperatures dip into the low- to mid-50s.

That cool weather will only stick around for a couple of days, however. The heat will return later in the week, with high temperatures spiking above normal by next weekend.
And, Baruffaldi said, there’s no rain in the forecast.
