The last gasp of summer seems to be heading Sacramento’s way with temperatures near 90 degrees forecast for the weekend.
The weather on Thursday was what Northern California typically has in fall: 81 degrees under sunny skies. But that is about to change thanks to a developing high pressure system.
A high of 89 degrees is forecast for both Saturday and Sunday in Sacramento. Overnight lows are predicted to be cool with highs each night around 57 degrees.
Look for temperatures to take a nose dive around Tuesday. A cooling trend is expected to bring below normal temperatures next week -- down to the low 70s by Wednesday.

Along with the dipping temperatures, look for a chance of some rain, according to the National Weather Service. Details on the probability of rain are uncertain as of Friday.
