Rain likely Monday night in the Sacramento region

After a picture-perfect fall weekend across the Sacramento region, a light rain storm is expected late Monday and early Tuesday.

The temperature Sunday is expected to top out at 74 degrees with a light 3 to 7 mph wind, according to the National Weather Service

NWS gives a 30 percent chance of showers starting at 11 a.m. Monday, but that increases to 60 percent by Monday night. The storm is expected to remain through Tuesday morning, dropping less than a tenth of an inch in Sacramento.

Tuesday and Wednesday should remain dry, but showers could return Thursday and linger through the start of the weekend.
