Fog won’t cloud out Election Day

National Weather Service Sacramento

Sacramento area residents can expect mild dry weather to continue through Election Day, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday opened with a mild fog across the region with temperatures in the mid 50s. The fog is expected to clear by 10 a.m.. Election Day is expected to be a repeat of today’s weather. While California has seen a surge in early voting, a record number of Californians are expected to vote Tuesday. More than 18.7 million Californians have registered to vote, a state record.

High clouds will prevent the fog from getting too thick, said Eric Kurth, a meteorologist with the national weather service.

They are predicting dry weather through the week. A mild system will move into Northern California Friday, but the storm is expect to miss Sacramento.
