Winds and pollen count are expected to be high on Friday as conditions repeat from the day before.
A gust of 36 mph was registered Thursday at Sacramento’s Executive Airport as north winds buffeted the valley. The winds mixed pollen in the air, adding to the woes of allergy suffers.
The website Pollen.com noted that Sacramento had a pollen reading of 10.5 on Thursday. A count of 11.3 is predicted for today.
Both readings are in the high category. The top sources for the pollen in the air are coming from oak, alder and juniper trees and shrubs.
