The Sacramento area had more unseasonably warm weather Tuesday, although highs fell a few degrees short of records for the date, according to meteorologist Cory Mueller with the National Weather Service.

Downtown Sacramento topped out at 87 degrees, four degrees below the record 91 degrees in 1959. Executive Airport recorded a high of 88 degrees, a degree shy of the record high for the date, 89 degrees in 1965.
