Forecast for Sacramento early this week: warm, cool, warm

A fast-moving weather system is expected to move through late Monday into early Tuesday, bringing cool temperatures to the Sacramento region.

The National Weather Service said today’s high temperature is expected to be 78 degrees in Sacramento. However, the NWS expects that a strong cold front will modify the weather on Tuesday.

The weather service is predicting that Sacramento will have a maximum temperature of just 69 degrees on Tuesday, which is below normal for mid-April. In addition, forecasters expect winds will kick up on Tuesday, perhaps gusting to as high as 24 mph in Sacramento.

On Wednesday, the winds continue to blow, according to the NWS. However, temperatures bounce up again as Sacramento’s weather is forecast to be abnormally warm for the remainder of the week.
