The week is expected to be abnormally warm for late April but not tremendously hot.

Temperatures are forecast to be in the 80s and low 90s. The hottest day is expected to be Friday when the mercury could reach 92 degrees in Sacramento.

That’s plenty hot for May 1 in the Sacramento Valley. The Sacramento region should be enjoying a maximum temperature of 76 degrees Tuesday, instead of the 84 degrees that is forecast by the National Weather Service.

However, 84 degrees is a far cry from what is coming up this summer. When it is 10-to-15 degrees hotter in August, this week’s weather will look very appealing.
