It should be a fine weekend for gardening, golfing and other outdoor activities in the Sacramento region, according to the National Weather Service.
The famed Delta breeze blew into the area Friday night and will hang around today, dropping temperatures into the mid-80s, compared to a high of 94 on Friday. It will still be warm for early May: the normal high temperature for this date is 77 degrees, said NWS forecaster and meteorologist Jason Clapp.
The Sierras could see some thunderstorms this afternoon, but precipitation is highly unlikely in the Sacramento area, Clapp said.
