Mild weather forecast for Sacramento this week

Don’t look for wild swings in the weather this week as the Sacramento area enjoys a string of pleasant spring days.

Temperatures will be in the mid-70s to low 80s this week. A weather system is forecast to drop south from the Pacific Northwest on Thursday and Friday, producing slightly lower temperatures than we will see earlier in the week.

The normal high for early May is 77 degrees and that’s just about what is expected in Sacramento today. A Delta breeze continued to spread cooling inland on Friday morning, noted National Weather Service forecasters.

Mountain thunderstorms are a possibility this afternoon.
