High pressure and temperatures are forecast to build in the next couple of days in Northern California.

While Wednesday is only expected to be a degree or two above normal for late May -- say around 84 degrees-- later in the week probably will be quite a bit warmer in Sacramento. The high on Thursday is expected to be 87 and Friday and Saturday are forecast to be in the 90s.

The normal high for this time of year in Sacramento is 83 degrees.
