A hot afternoon for Sacramento, but probably no 100-degree reading

A high of 98 degrees is forecast for the city on Wednesday. The normal high for mid-June in Sacramento is 10 degrees cooler.

Overnight cooling is expected thanks to the breeze forecast to blow through the Delta from the ocean. Wednesday night’s temperature in Sacramento is expected to lower to about 58 degrees.
