Father’s Day forecast doesn’t look half bad in Sacramento

A weak weather system passing to the north will bring cooler weather Thursday to Sacramento, according to the National Weather Service.

The Delta breeze will make conditions much more tolerable than on Wednesday when the mercury reached 99 degrees. The high Thursday is expected to be 93 in Sacramento.

Looking ahead, similar conditions are expected on Friday and slightly warmer weather on Saturday. Sunday is both Father’s Day and the first day of summer.

The high temperature on Sunday is expected to be a degree or two above normal, coming in at 90 degrees in Sacramento.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 93. South wind around 9 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. South-southeast wind 8 to 13 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 94. South wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west-northwest in the afternoon.

Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. South wind 5 to 7 mph.

Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 97. South-southwest wind around 5 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 90.

Sunday night: Clear, with a low around 56.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 89.

Monday night: Clear, with a low around 56.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 92.
