Early in the week projections of a high of 103 degrees in Sacramento for Father’s Day won’t become a reality. Sunday is now projected to be much cooler.
A high of 94 is forecast for today. A Delta breeze is delivering cool ocean air to Sacramento just as it has for most of the week.
A reduced breeze this evening will be a prelude to a ramping up of the temperature to 97 degrees on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Then, thankfully, the temperature takes a big dip on Sunday when the National Weather Service predicts that the high in Sacramento will be a more manageable 90 degrees.
Brunch with dad on the patio will be comfortable. The afternoon will still be warm, perhaps a good time for retreating inside to watch the U.S. Open.
