Hot temperatures are expected to continue Tuesday in the Sacramento region, but a chance of showers and a drop of nearly 10 degrees are forecast in just two days.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a high of 90 degrees for Tuesday in Sacramento, which follows a maximum of 94 on Monday.
After that, the temperatures are predicted to drop even more as a weather system moves over Northern California. The high on Wednesday is expected to be 85 and 82 degrees is forecast for Thursday.
The NWS is also calling for breezy conditions toward the end of the work week – and the possibility of showers. Cooler highs projected for Thursday:
