A low pressure system is expected to move onshore Wednesday, bringing cooler temperatures and a possibility of showers on Thursday in Sacramento.
The change in the weather pattern could bring a maximum high today of 88 degrees, which would be four degrees cooler than the high on Tuesday in Sacramento. Temperatures will continue downward on Thursday when just 81 degrees is forecast.
Along with the abnormally cool temperatures, the National Weather Service is predicting a 40 percent chance of precipitation for Thursday. Any rainfall would be light, except for areas that experience thunderstorms.
