Cool weather is forecast through the weekend in Sacramento with daytime temperatures 7 to 10 degrees below normal for late September.
Early autumn can be quite warm in Sacramento. The normal high for this time of year is 86 degrees -- and 100-degree readings are not out of the question.
However, not this weekend. A high of just 76 degrees is forecast for Friday, 79 on Saturday and 79 on Sunday.
The cool weather comes in the wake of Thursday’s rainstorm that dropped 0.37 of an inch into the Sacramento’s official National Weather Service rainstorm bucket. The city is now at 139 percent of normal rainfall.
