Dry and hotter weather is just around the corner for Sacramento, according to the National Weather Service.
Tuesday is expected to be a very pleasant day with sunny skies, a slight breeze and a high of only 82 degrees in Sacramento.
All that is about to change as high pressure builds across the region. Temperatures are expected to be above the normal of 85 degrees from Thursday to Saturday.
On Saturday the high is forecast to reach the mid-90s in Sacramento. September finished cool with a string of days in the 70s and low 80s.

The month will end with four days in the 100s, the hottest being Sept. 13 when the mercury reached 104. Rainfall for the month will finish at 0.54 inches in Sacramento.

Wednesday night: Clear, with a low around 56. North northwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light west northwest in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 88. Light northwest wind.
