Hot weather weekend ahead for Sacramento

While today is expected to be a bit warm for early October with highs in the mid-to-upper 80s, the National Weather Service predicts the weekend will be unseasonably hot with temperatures in the 90s.

A strong high pressure ridge over the west coast will produce fair skies and well-above normal temperatures in Northern California, according to the NWS. Daytime highs over the weekend are predicted to run about 10 degrees above normal for early fall.
