Unseasonably hot temperatures continue Monday as a high pressure system retains it grip over the Sacramento region.

The high on Monday in Sacramento is expected to also reach 95 degrees. Normal this time of year is 83 degrees.
Cooling is expected beginning Tuesday and continuing through Thursday as high pressure weakens, according to the National Weather Service. By Thursday, the afternoon high is expected to be a dozen degrees cooler than today.
