Three chances for a little rain in Sacramento

While there are no gully-washers in the forecast, Sacramento’s weather seems to be settling into a series of light rain events.

The forecast calls for sprinkles overnight in Sacramento, although probably not until after 11 p.m. In advance of the damp system, significant cooling has begun Tuesday as the weather front approaches.

Some rain may start along the coastal mountains this afternoon before spreading inland hours later, according to the National Weather Service. Precipitation is expected to be light: less of a tenth of an inch is forecast for the valley.

Another system is forecast to approach Friday into Saturday with the promise of more light rain. The weekend looks mostly dry before more the third weak weather system arrives Monday with a slight chance for rain.
