Enjoy the coolish weather while it lasts because next week is shaping up as very hot.
The high temperature Thursday is expected to be a comfortable 86 degrees in Sacramento. The normal for July 23 is 94.
The Delta breeze that delivered the pleasant ocean air is expected to lighten Thursday night, leading to slightly higher temperatures the rest of the week. Thankfully, however, the mild temperatures are expected to continue through the weekend.
The advanced forecast for next week is not so rosy. The low 90s of the weekend disappear. In their place, the National Weather Service predicts high 90s and two days of 103-degree weather.
